meister ekhart crops up again, this time he says, 'love is as strong as death, as hard as hell,'
i wonder what he's getting at?
i think my interpretation of this is one's personal journey with love is really complex and at times you gotta adopt a warriors stance, attitude and mentality, because love comes in many forms unless it's unconditional. unconditional love is a good thing to navigate towards but how often does it manifest. it comes at ya in so many ways, and often your just overwhelmed with it's demands, just like a big wave heading towards ya, can you stop it, divert it, no way! ride it, if you wipe out you wipe out but if your not attached to controlling it, wow that wave will give you a beautiful ride, that's the nature of love, it is as strong as death. trust me, i've died over and over and loved over and over and yeah i think ME was onto something here. death and love are hard to crack but once you do, wow, you're alive. i just gotta remember this all the time, especially when im going mental from stress or some weird neurotic impulse. ride that wave, don't be attached to the outcome, just be in the moment of it and keep some integrity and connection to what's true for me, love and death will do the rest. olde ME knew his stuff, i trust his perceptions.
i finished reading the book, 'the complete guide to the soul' the final pages confirmed just what a remarkable book this is and the authors insight is to bbe commended, even he apologies for the title. brilliant book and if you liked 'the secret history of the world' this is it's companion book.
now what to start, i picked up a book called gargoyle, a gothic love story, so i think i'll attempt that, although i've had trouble reading novels lately. the premise looks quite origional and i'm in the mood for some dark love.
