strange day, wandering through hornsby mall, a suburb i never really go to except to visit the big bookshop there as it has a great selection of stock, anyways i picked up a book by alex grey, (see pic) the visionary artist that has obviously experienced dmt reality as his pictures really capture the dmt world, and was about to leave when a girl behind a city bank promotional desk asked me how i was, i was doing fine until i heard her seductive accent, french, what can i say, i started to melt in front of her, suddenly i had signed up for a new credit card or some thing i don't really understand about some big finantial institution. I mean i didn't even hear what she was saying, i just listened to her gorgeous voice and watched her little pixie face as she went through her routine. I mean who would have thought credit card intrest rates would be so sexy. Normally i am not a detail kinda guy, but i recall almost everything about her, her smell, what she was wearing, her shoes, her lips, eyes and everything else she told me about herself, except for the city bank stuff, anyway she had been living in sydney, pyrmont for a year and was very happy, she asked me a whole bunch of stuff, i gave her a card, when she found out my age she seemed surprised, she said, i looked younger, i told her i have a young mind, then we went our separate ways but i can't help wondering about her.

Last night i watched a tv show about the way children are being brought up in australia, a crowd of young parents and specialists, therapists and physiologist all chatting about what good parenting is, and how to be one. There was some really valid points made but the one point i thought of that was lacking in the conversation was how these parents can teach their children all about morality and how to behave yet never once point out that most of the people in positions of power or authority, in fact even most people in the world are corrupt or would be given the oppurtunity, in fact the adult world is a sad reflection of bad parenting, i mean its all very well to tell children that violence is wrong and then expect them to understand when their countries army is at war. It's the same with stealing, i mean jesus the govt. steal from me every day, just becuase it's under the guise of tax don't mean its not stealing. I mean Rupert Murdoch don't pay any tax, why should i, and i don't endorse where my tax is spent either, most of it is directed towards supporting a govt. i don't like, the pennies may go to a few hospitals and schools but most of it goes to the keeping an ineffecient beaurocracy running. Corruption is an issue that can't be stopped in a classroom, its not always huge and noticable, it needs to be addressed as a species, adults need to take the challenge and face their own sense of honour, there's no other way.
The baghvad gita, describes a war, arjuna is visited just before the battle by krishna, only to hear how to escape this cycle of death and rebirth and sufferring. The war is the war within. The struggle every person has with themselves, there are many ways outta the battlefield but how many people are disiplined enough to take them. Talk is cheap, action speaks louder than words, all the people on tv last night debating missed the point. Fill your childrens heads with lies and delusions about the world, and they will never trust ya again.
Humanity is corrupt, if you can struggle with your own demons and face them, stare them down and be their master/mistress then you may stand a chance against being corrupt, but don't preach to the next gen, set the example.

hey i really like your alex grey-french girl-credit card byte. i cant wat to see how this pans out. pan being the operative there.
you my end up in a erotic tryptamine thing. how cool. i sincerly hope the best for you with this.
i too am amazed at parenting. it baffles me that most adults can feed themselves let alone raise a primate. here we have a huge amount of people who cant maintain a healthy body or make up their own minds about such basic issues as the reason for existance or the course of life, and still they are convinced, ney, the government encourages, they not only reproduce their genetic material but they actually imprint the little monkey as well.
shit! all other hive based anmals worked out millions of years ago just how absurd that idea is.
if you dont have the courage + the sense of humour + the vision to experiment intelligently with yourself and partner, why the hell should you be allowed to pass your genetic code on? i ask.
goes against everything Dna is designed for and everything that makes reproduction so much fun.
then we put the little fuckers in schools run by a bunch of gereatric conservatives and complain the TELEVISION is damaging them!
yes captain, things are very serious indeed. we all wonder where coruption comes from yet we drill ourselves with petty competitiveness fuelled by self-flagellation over the shame of losing and wonder why people want to take the short cut.what!? georgie w is corrupt?! being a politician lead him to corruption? no no no, corruption lead him to politics.
politician is the carrer move all heads of industry need to make before seeing the real money. im amazed we still make a distinction between 'politics' and 'coruption'. why even have 2 words?
lets just face the fact. tese guys in authority are just us, doing what most of us would given the opportunity. lets just admit it to ourselves that thats what happens and get o with doing it better. get corruption on the curriculum in schools i say. the mess all began when democracy & capitalism assured the opportunity of wealth to all but kept the chance for corruption to an elite few. you really want economic freedom then open up the right to corruption for all.
joe punchclock is only upset because his chance at corrupton is outta reach, unlike kofi annan who has it thrown at him.
a republic of greed and backhanders for all and a people united in hoodwinking as one.

Yeah well...don't adults always miss the point? Thought things were better in the land of milk and honey than here in Blightey, p'raps not. Perhaps its me going through a phase of being disillusioned with money-grabbing, materialistic people brimful of snobbery of every kind you can imagine.

To keep the leaky roof over our heads, I work in android land in uni admin. Too many years living with man who rubbished my crafty creations 'don't waste time on that hand made crap, here, go buy better stuff from Marks & Sparks' so not brave enough to go the creative route to earn a crust. Anyways, digression, english unis are chokka full of snobbery, educational and other. Work colleagues...they herd together talking achievement, get themselves in huge debt to pay private school fees or private tutors to get their kids through exams and into grammar school, taking the places of local kids. Only 3 counties have grammars now. Woman at next desk(aaaarggh, poor, pitiful desk-bound me), has given Oxford educated daughter now becoming high-flying London solicitor 'all chances possible so she can look after me, after all I didn't make all those sacrifices for nothing). This mother...never been to London, lived in Luton her entire life, never lived in house without either parent or husband to look after her, neurotic, the daughter...fragile, nervous breakdown in her last year at Oxford, is it worth it?

Me, I've been up on my soapbox campaigning for fair education in this country/county, but gave up when we received properly meant and public death threats, one woman had someone at her house throwing crap at it, like you wouldn't believe. These are the kinda educated people you probably saw on that television prog. I'm a feisty madam, no worries about walking through London late at night or even tackling burglars, but I left the group after all that. Peaceful and placid tho'... Greenpeace and Stop the War campaigner too.

I've brought my kids up to be independent, caring, rounded, to see past the materialistic restrictions other parents place on their kids but mainly to laugh and be happy. One wants to work with motorsports and the other a graphic artist. I've been pretty crap as a parent though, but did get down and dirty with my kids making life fun and creative!

Ooooh, sorry, just meant to say thanks for replying to the message, will go to see Steve and The Church as I'm only 40 minutes outside London. I love writing and can never work out when to stop. After what Steve said on his blog about people after gigs, not sure about trying to meet them. Are you Piscean by the way? Although if you've read it, tempted to call him Marty and see if he really is cool about it! Music rules my life, and I've been listening to them for over 25 years I guess it must be now. Along with others of course. Lawdy, hate this age thing, but hey, likewise, people are amazed when I tell them my real age. Yeah, I'd really like to visit at least Newport again, my family live in North NSW now, kinda Bellingen, Coffs Harbour. Strange things abound, after reliving happy Sydney memories these last two weeks or so, just yesterday received postcard from someone I haven't seen since leaving England for Australia. I've been planning turning my life upside down when my teenagers leave home (2 years now and counting...yay!) and it's like some kinda message is being sent to me. The dippy hippy won't go, I believe in karma and things happening for a reason and its all in our destiny and we can't do nuffin sod all about it.

im thinking that mis/dis-information is just a phase in the evolution of information itself. this is the age of corruption.
im thinking that we are still at the stage where we are playing about and experimenting with a new resource (information) but have not really realized what we are dealing with. we still believe that restriction and minority control of information leads to increased worth - just like we used to believe restriction and control of gold or literacy etc lead to increased value.
corruption boils down to nothing more exciting than the abuse of information for personal gain, manifestiing to varying degree from the dubious to the sinister.
personally, i think freaking out over it only adds to its artificial worth by increasing the amount of information involved. 50 years of witch burning events like inquiries, commissions and impeachments has done nothing but strengthen the value of corruption. watergate only bred a smarter type of corruption, just like advanced security systems breeds smarter hackers. the value of dis-information is measured by how effectively it masks the real information.
i think that the smartest way to deal with corruption is to recognize it as a necessary, juvenile, part of information growth and to grow out of it by applying the eternal mechanisms of diversification, experimentation, humour, sensuality, radicalism, curiosity etc.
beyond the corrupt phase lays an infosphere of unquestionable information transparency, zero censorship, total freedom of speach/philosophy, guaranteed access to information input & absolute freedom of expression. there will not only be no place for corruption to hide, but no value for it.
restriction of information will be viewed as a backwards, petty, dumb form of endeavour - like jigging payphones or stealing milk money. people who engage in it will be dismissed as retrogressive leftovers or better still ignored.
there will be no value placed on secrecy - those who intentionally obscure information will be seen to be as useless to evolution as a sleeping producton line worker.
so, how do we do it?
well to begin with stop investing your vote or dollar or name or time or attention in corrupt and secretive processes. dont support the system that wont support you.
invest in your own evolution and inteligence - at every decision take the one that gets you smarter, more sexy, healthy, global, higher velocity.
the basic unit of global integrity is the brain - tune it to be as autonomous, sensual and self-directing as possible. stop out-sourcing your brain to organizations that consider you as a number. pharmaceutical companies, fast food chains, political parties, foxtel, brand names etc intentionally abuse information in order for personal profit at the cost of others.
personal profit in itself s no problem - but at the restriction of others it becomes the integer of corruption.
tune your brain to become a unit of incoruptible info. do you really represent non-corruption? how much secrecy and intentional mis/dis-information do you propagate? are you really the example you wish to be?
can you survive in a world of actual information freedom?
personally i think we are a long way from a corruptionless era. amongst us there may be a handful of individuals who can operate as true conduits for uncensored and/or unmanipulated information - but most of us not that evolved.
corruption is here to stay for several million years at least, until humans realize that corruption is not in the brains of a minority of politicians, but in the brains of every homo sapien.
evolve or die.
