Here it is the brand new cd from the only band that really matters, the church, a follow up to El Momento Descuidado, reworkings, restructures and a few new recordings. This is another excellent piece from a band languishing at the top of their game, if success is measured in quality then these guys certainly have nothing to prove. Steve has the type of effortless voice that spans galaxies, its drifting between stars carring the listener away along with his equally brilliant bass playing and song writing, Tim complements the rhythem section pouring over you like wild honey, little ripples of texture. The guitars are the sculptures we know and love, interwined MWP and Peter, playing together joined like a single unit, intricate like the dna strands equally as elegant.
Surprises, well i guess its all one big surprise but for me song in the afternoon is the standout.
