wind comes through libertaria, sweeping through the trees into mission control, it flies in on an underbelly of heat and a backdrop of distant traffic, other sounds are, the leaves rustling, dog lapping up water from his bowl, the croaking of a frog, the humming of a fan.
i been on a little high after the bard of bondi gig, it was so lovely, i don't have to go out if i can just have nights like that once every six months, i'm not missing anything out there.
i watched a little tv today, thought i'd watch the news but ended up feeling bored with humanities dramas so i went down to the dvd shop and picked up baz lurmans sydney filmed epic remake, 'the great gadsby' and i watched it completely transfixed. i hadn't read the novel but i always felt i would and now i will, because the story is brilliant and the dvd although visually spectacular and innovative, contains the integrity of the idea and it's as relevant now as it was in the 20's with some great narrative which the director poetically writes into the film itself.
gadsby was indeed great as was nick carraway who saw his greatness, a beautiful film, go see it and then we can discuss weather gatsby was great.
